Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a San Diego boutique law firm seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to support its tax, corporate, and maritime practice.

The firm advises entrepreneurs, investors, business owners, and closely held businesses on complex ownership structures, strategic asset ownership and tax planning, high-value asset transactions, and multi-jurisdictional tax considerations. This role offers exposure to a broad range of sophisticated legal matters across tax, corporate, and maritime law.

Location: On-site. Bay Park/Morena District, San Diego, CA.

Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000 per year, with final compensation commensurate with experience, qualifications, and skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft and revise corporate documents, including LLC operating agreements, bylaws, resolutions, contracts, and related business entity records.
  • Prepare tax agency correspondence and filings involving the IRS, FTB, CDTFA, County Assessors, and County Tax Collectors.
  • Manage client matters, maintain deadlines, coordinate documentation, and serve as a point of contact for clients and third parties.
  • Support tax, corporate, and administrative proceedings through document preparation, hearing support, records analysis, and agency communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience, preferably in corporate law, tax law, or business transactions.
  • Experience working with County Assessors and other governmental agencies, including the IRS, FTB, CDTFA, and County Tax Collectors.
  • Prior experience supporting maritime, yacht, or vessel-related matters required.
  • Strong legal drafting skills, including experience preparing corporate documents, agency correspondence, and transactional materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
